A Review of Taste of The Masters
As we all know, 2020 has been anything but normal. Or, if it seems like something good is finally going to happen, 2020 strikes and takes away the small sliver of normalcy away. The Masters couldn’t escape 2020 either. Typically, The Masters is played in April. However, because of the pandemic, The Masters was postponed until November. On top of that, no spectators are allowed at the tournament this year. However, that doesn’t mean fans can’t get the normal Masters experience… sort of.
The Announcement

On November 2nd, Alex Myers of Golf Digest tweeted out that fans had a chance to purchase a catering package of some of the food that is sold at the tournament. This sent fans into a frenzy. Many fans were excited but skeptical of this. Sending Egg Salad and Pimento Cheese by mail isn’t ideal, but some fans went ahead and took the chance. Yes, there are fans out there who spent over $150 for this. Not only does the package offer Egg Salad and Pimento Cheese, but there is also Pork Bar-B-Que, Potato Chips, Chocolate Chip Cookies, Pecan Caramel Popcorn, souvenir cups and serving paper with The Masters logo on it.
My review of Taste of The Masters
Yes, I actually spent the ridiculous amount of money on the catering package and have tried everything it has to offer. Not surprisingly, everything in this package taste pretty good. Personally, I have never had Egg Salad or Pimento Cheese before, and I was surprised at how delicious the sandwiches are. The Pork Bar-B-Que is some of the best I have ever had, heat it up before you eat it! As someone who really isn’t adventurous when it comes to spending money or eating things, this was worth it. My advice for the sandwiches, use white bread! Even the snacks taste fresh, especially the popcorn. It’s not movie theater popcorn, but it’s not store bought either. The Potato Chips were nice and salty, and the Chocolate Chip Cookie was classically delicious.

What’s the best
Out of everything this package has to offer, the Pimento Cheese is my personal favorite and overall the best food that is offered in this package. As for the snacks, it’s hard to compete with a good old fashioned chocolate chip cookie. It taste fresh, it’s a good size, and obviously, it’s chocolate. Cheers to all golf fans this weekend as we all finally get to enjoy The Masters!
