3 Things to Watch For in Buffalo @ Tennessee

After defeating the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football last week, the Buffalo Bills will be traveling to Nashville for another primetime game against the Titans on Monday Night Football. The Bills have won their last 4 games and will look to go into the bye week with a 5th straight victory. In this article, I’m going to give you 3 things to keep an eye on during the game.

Containing Derrick Henry

Titans: Derrick Henry uses real human beings to practice stiff arms

It’s hard not to include Derrick Henry in any kind of article when you’re talking about the Titans but I’m sure containing him is at the top of Buffalo’s gameplan. As dominant as Henry has been in his NFL career, he has a hard time against the Bills. According to Stat Muse, the Titans running back has 50 carries for 191 yards and has 3 rushing touchdowns in 3 games played against the Bills. Buffalo’s defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier has done a good job finding a game plan for the best offensive players in the league such as Henry, Lamar Jackson, etc. Especially with how dominant the Bills defense has been, it’ll be interesting to see what happens Monday night.

Will Julio Jones play?

As of now, the status of Titans wide receiver Julio Jones is not yet known. Buffalo will have to deal with Henry and wide receiver AJ Brown, but if Julio does play then the Bills will have their hands full. Tennessee head coach Mike Vrabel said they’ll see how he does during practice today and throughout the week but even with or without Jones, I think the Bills will be up for the challenge. They did a good job against Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce last week. We all know how great the defense has been but this week will be another good test for them.

Getting Revenge

Buffalo Bills Win Probability: Tennessee Titans control second half, Malcolm Butler seals the deal - Buffalo Rumblings

The last time Buffalo played in Tennessee, it was a disaster for the Bills. Tennessee blew out the Bills 42-16 last season. Not only do I think that game will light a fire under Buffalo, but the team is much better overall than they were last year and the defense is much better than last season as well. You can catch the game on ESPN with kickoff taking place just after 8pm.
