2021 RBC Heritage Picks

With the Masters week over, the PGA Tour moves onto its next event. The next event is the RBC Heritage which is taking place at the Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head South Carolina. Last year Webb Simpson won the RBC Heritage classic and has the second best odds to win it again this season. With that being said here are my picks for the winner, and my top five for the tournament.

Top Five:

Charley Hoffman (+800)

I think this is a sleeper pick to win this tournament at (+4500). Hoffman’s last outing was at the Valero Texas Open. He finished right behind Jordan Spieth in second place. Charley has four top ten finishes so far in the 2021 campaign. I think we will see Hoffman’s momentum from the Valero Texas Open carry over. He will finish in the top five at least, and I think he is a real dark horse to win the RBC Heritage as a whole.

Dustin Johnson (+250)

I mean has Dustin Johnson looked sharp as of late. No he has not, but he is from South Carolina and is use to playing at this course. Johnson hasn’t reached the top ten in a tournament since the Genesis Invitational back in February. I think we will see DJ bounce out of his funk during the RBC Heritage tournament, and will finish at least in the top five. He is the favorite to win this tournament, but top five is definitely a good spot for DJ.

Will Zalatoris (+550)

We saw Will Zalatoris shine at the Masters. He did not win, but he had his highest finish of the season which was second place. He looked very good as he finished nine under for the tournament. I think this is a start to see Zalatoris play some real good golf for the next few tournaments. Zalatoris will finish at least in the top five, but I do consider him to be in the running to win the tournament.

Patrick Cantlay (+350)

Patrick Cantlay is currently ranked fourth in the PGA Tour World Ranking. Cantlay is has two top five finishes in 2021 (The American Express (2nd), AT&T Pebble Peach Pro-Am (3rd)). He has missed the cut at the Players Championship and The Masters. So I expect him to get back into the swing of things, and to finish in the top five in this tournament.

Collin Morikawa (+400)

I am highly expecting Collin Morikawa to be big time in this tournament. Morikawa has not finished in the top ten since he won the World Golf Championship-Workday Championship in February. This is the tournament for him to get a top five finish. I just see Morikawa playing well in the first two rounds, and then take a step back in the last two days. He will finish in the top five of this tournament, and at +400 for a top five finish is low risk high reward situation.

Winner:

Will Zalatoris (+2500)

I think he keeps up the momentum from the Masters and goes on to win the RBC Heritage. The Masters was the start of the run for Zalatoris and I think the RBC Heritage will start the ride of successful tournaments for Zalatoris. Good value here betting on Zalatoris, so I am riding with the 24 year old from San Francisco. He is my 2021 RBC Heritage winner.
