The Boston Celtics took on the Denver Nuggets last night at the T.D. Garden. It marked the return of Isaiah Thomas since he was traded by the Celtics to the Cleveland Cavaliers. He is now with the Denver Nuggets. While returning to the Garden, the Celtics played a montage on their jumbotron of all of the best moments featuring Isaiah Thomas in a Celtics uniform.

Honestly, you can’t help but love Isaiah Thomas. This video tribute was special for a few reasons:
He Plays Pick-up Basketball In The Community
Before the game Monday night, Isaiah Thomas was playing pick-up basketball in the Boston area. He was noticed at Emerson College playing with some of the college’s students.

Most NBA players try to remain private when they travel. Isaiah Thomas is a rare case. He takes time out of his day to play with the common man and that is something you can’t help but admire about him.
He Takes Time To Acknowledge The Boston Fans
Whether it is playing pick-up in the community or taking pictures with fans, Isaiah Thomas is extremely grateful for the fans of Boston. He was seen taking pictures last night with a few fans. Did he even hint at potentially coming back to Boston?

Isaiah Thomas: “I’ll be back”

It probably won’t happen, let’s make that clear. But wouldn’t it be cool to bring Isaiah back, even if it was as a bench option?
He Wanted To Win A Championship In Boston
The Celtics had their stretch of playoff runs when Isaiah Thomas was running the show. You could tell how bad Isaiah wanted it by the passion he played with in every game as a Boston Celtic. He even thinks that he could have won one with the Celtics right now, had he not been traded.
"We would've probably won a championship already."

In Conclusion
The video tribute was a way of seeing just how much Boston still loves Isaiah Thomas. It allowed for him to be a two time All-star and really flourish in a winning situation. If you don’t love what I.T. did for the Celtics, then I don’t know what to say to you. Would I still have traded I.T. for Kyrie Irving? Absolutely! But, would I take him back in a reserve role? Once again, absolutely! If you need something to view during the work day, here is more video highlights of Isaiah with the Celtics. Thanks for the memories, I.T.!
