As everyone knows by now, another innocent black man has died at the hands of police aggression. George Floyd’s death has sent shockwaves across the country and rightfully so. Protests have popped up in city after city. Atlanta, Georgia is no different, and Georgia native, and Boston Celtics forward, Jaylen Brown has helped lead the charge down south by driving 15 hours to participate in Atlanta’s peaceful protest.
Jaylen Brown said on his live Instagram video that he drove 15 hours from Boston to take part in the peaceful march he’s in right now in Atlanta. Here is what he said on that livestream about why he chose to do so: pic.twitter.com/JYVIeVCU1u

This is what you call leading by example. Brown, 23, is a bonafide leader and the Celtics must be more than happy to have him.
I know that he isn’t the only celebrity / athlete to voice their opinion and lead during this time, but there are a lot of people who have said and done nothing. But at the young age of 23, Brown packs his stuff and drives 15 hours to his community to help bring about change. He even helped in the bailing out of three peaceful protestors who were arrested down in Atlanta.
Nicole Baker and Terrance Foster please send me the third name waiting for them to post their bail

I can’t say it enough, but my hat goes off to Brown. He has stepped up in a big way and has lead people in the right direction.
Racism has no part in our society. I don’t care if you’re white, brown, black, blue, or a republican, or democrat. Oppressing people and thinking of them as beneath you is asinine and straight up unjustifiable.
In closing, I urge you to educate yourself on the severity of the situation. I know I have been trying to learn more. But overall, everyone should try being a better person, and treat everyone how you would like to be treated. And remember, love is more powerful than hate. #BlackLivesMatter
