Jalen Ramsey “Fears No Man,” Including Rob Gronkowski

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again, I. Love. Jalen. Ramsey.

Leading up to the Patriots AFC Championship rematch this Sunday against the Jaguars, Jags corner Jalen Ramsey shared his thoughts on a potential matchup with Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski:

If we remember from earlier this off-season, Ramsey spoke about Gronk (and many other elite pass catchers) in an interview with Sports Illustrated. He’s backed away from the notion that Gronk “is not that good,” but he still isn’t afraid to face the All-Pro TE on Sunday. Here’s what Gronk had to say about his matchup with Ramsey:

I feel like a broken record when I say this, but I can’t get enough of players talking shit leading up to a big matchup like this. It brings another element to the game. It creates rivalries, which is something I think has already begun to fade away in most sports. This is part of the reason why I love Ramsey so much. He doesn’t care who his opponent is, he will talk shit about them before (and in some cases after) the game, and 9 times out of 10, he’ll back it up. I’d love to see him in our division, but one game a year will have to do.

All Ramsey did last week before the Jags matchup with the Giants was talk about Odell, but they barely ended up going up against one another. I know the gameplan isn’t in his control, but it was kind of a letdown. I’m hoping we don’t go through something similar this Sunday because I want to see those two go at it. It has to be a dogfight.
