Of course I am talking about Arya Stark killing the Night King. I mean who saw it coming? Not me! A cast of likely heroes who we all assumed would be the one to kill him but nope. Talk about an upset. An 18 year old girl taking down one of the most feared and murderous men on the planet? Buddy we are talking ice zombies. You wouldn’t catch me pulling the old switcheroo with a knife on that guy.
Now to the bad news. While Arya killing the Night King was on awesome moment, it happens at the very end and the rest of the episode kinda stinks. I watched it back after I saw this was the one year anniversary of the most hyped up night in television in the history of history. Hoping that I was just too caught up in the moment and the fact that the last season of Game of Thrones was no better than Here Comes Honey Boo Boo to realize how good this episode actually was.
But here I am, disappointed all over again. The fact that I had to stand 2 inches from the television and squint for an hour and a half (3 hours if you count both times I watched it) is bananas. This was supposed to be the culmination of a series and you can see about a quarter of it. That paired with the fact that both Grey Worm and Bran survived it when nobody likes them. Gross mismanagement. You mean to tell me they thought I would rather see them live instead of Lady Mormont? Woowwwwwww. Read the room guys.
Oh, spoilers I guess? I don’t know. If you haven’t watched it by now I don’t feel sorry for you.
