It’s Almost NBA Season – Lets Watch High School Highlights
Basketball is my favorite sport. I like the way they dribble up and down the court. I also enjoy slam-dunks, take me to the hoop, but my favorite play is the alley-oop.
But for real, I’m super excited about the NBA season being right around the corner. And naturally, as a fan anticipating the season, I started watching highlights. And naturally, any good YouTube basketball rabbit hole leads you to high school highlights.
So, with that said, here are the top five high school highlight tapes according to your boy (me).
5. Harry Giles
I still have a lot of hope for Harry Giles moving forward. Guy was #1 in his class, which featured the likes of Jayson Tatum, but has been extremely unlucky with injuries. Even his high school tape only had a few seasons worth on it due to injuries, and it was still dynamic.
4. Andre Drummond
Drummond is a wild case because he was an absolute giant in high school but realized that he was also faster than everyone, so he would just go coast to coast and physically eat rims and backboards. Crazy tape.
3. Zion Williamson
Could Zion be #1 on this list? You betcha. But it’s my list and I’ll cry if I want to.
2. John Wall
This was the first tape I remember watching and being like, “holy fucking shit.” My mouth was agape the entire time. Mesmerizing stuff out of our boy John.
1. Aquille Carr
Aquille Carr is 5 feet tall. He scored 1-million points per game. His nickname was literally Crime Stopper because the crime rate went down during his games due to everyone packing into the gym to watch him play. You simply can’t beat that.
