Good Low Budget Players: Daily Fantasy Week 9
It is officially past the halfway point of the NFL regular season. Very sad. But there are still a lot of games to be played, including your daily fantasy games. So for you Draft Kings and FanDuel players, here are some low budget players that could potentially help win you some cash.
Tre’Quan Smith WR, New Orleans Saints- This week the Saints are matched up with the Los Angeles Rams. Be ready for a shootout. Yes, the Saints have a ton of weapons like Mark Ingram, Michael Thomas, and Alvin Kamara, but Smith is an explosive asset that has become the number 2 receiver with Ted Ginn Jr. going on injured reserve. With stud corner Marcus Peters most likely following Thomas this week, it is definitely possible for Smith to have a long touchdown. (DK: $4,200 / FD: $5,100)
Isaiah Crowell RB, New York Jets- After Lamar Miller gashed the Miami Dolphins defense on the ground Thursday night, it moved them to 29th in the NFL rush yards given up a game (143.1). With Bilal Powell out for the season, Crowell figures to get a lot of work on the ground especially if the Jets are able to get up on this Brock Osweiler led team. (DK: $4,200 / FD: $5,700)
Baker Mayfield QB, Cleveland Browns- The number 1 overall pick in this past years draft hasn’t been great but he has definitely been solid, and there are definitely reasons to like him this week. The Browns are playing the Kansas City Chiefs, so to keep up the Browns are going to HAVE to throw. Add in the fact that Hue Jackson and Todd Haley are finally gone, Baker may be poised for a great game. (DK: $5,600 / FD: $7,400)
Cortland Sutton WR, Denver Broncos- The rookie wideout from SMU doesn’t have the best matchup this week (Houston Texans), but he now has the opportunity after former all-pro Demaryius Thomas has been dealt. Sutton will get the volume and he can be a touchdown monster. At a very cheap price he is an awesome value this week. (DK: $3,900 / FD: $5,500).
