ESPN Comes In Hot With A Bad Look Last Night With A Fantasy Auction Sketch

God damn it ESPN. It baffles me that this station can be this tone deaf. I’m being dead honest when I say that they need to fire whoever came up with this sketch, and then the dinks who were like, “You know what, that’s a great idea”.

And I get it, I know what a fantasy auction is. But time and place guys. Like, Jesus Christ what is wrong with you guys?

We have a full blown Nazi/white supremacist/rally of the United States biggest assholes/virgin convention over the weekend bringing the nations racial climate to an all-time high in the 21st century, and you think a sketch where you have a crowd of white people auctioning to buy African-American men is the right move?

And look, I’m not going to pretend that I’m fake outraged by this move. It’s just hilarious that they were dumb enough to put something like this out there. I get the intent. Fantasy auctions are kind of bad ass. I did an MLB earlier in the year and my God, I’ve never felt more nervous when drafting in my life. But please just read the room. You’re the world leader in sports and you conjure up this?

This is just A) A tone deaf, dumb AF move and B) Classic ESPN.

Plus, what makes this even better is they are so PC these days and they didn’t even catch this. Come on guys, be better. I want to enjoy watching ESPN again.
