Chris Sale To Start Season On Injured List

Red Sox ace, Chris Sale will more than likely miss opening day start against the Toronto Blue Jays.

What a way to start off the first year of your $145 million extension.

The Red Sox are experiencing some sort of karma and it’s not very fun. Chris Sale showed up to spring training looking even skinnier than before. Granted, this could be from battling the flu and pneumonia but he looks thirty pounds lighter. I know Sale has always been tall and lanky but this is actually concerning. Could his elbow injury be managed better if he had some meat on his bones? I’m sure the professionals have discussed it already but bulking up might do the man some good.

The Red Sox starting rotation was an issue last year. When Eduardo Rodriguez is your ace and your rotation includes David Price, Chris Sale, and Rick Porcello, there’s an issue. There are holes to fill this year and I have a strong feeling it will be E-Rod who steps up on the bump again… If he can stay healthy.

Not to be that person but Sale did sign a mega extension last season. Are we going to have another Dustin Pedroia situation on our hands? I don’t think I can handle any more second-hand embarrassment from this organization.
