So if the Patriots made a move for Ridley, it would expand their wide receiving core. Imagine a wide receiving core of Ridley, Bourne, and Meyers along with Hunter Henry and Jonnu Smith at tight end? The key to the Patriots getting back to contending in the AFC is the continued development of Mac Jones. Jones threw for 22 touchdowns and 13 interceptions in his rookie campaign. Not bad, but certainly not astonishing numbers either! Having that number one receiver can help Mac feel more confident in throwing the long ball. Ridley can create that separation that we talked about earlier and the offense can open up even more for Mac. The Alabama QB can only benefit from having Calvin Ridley in a Patriots uniform in 2022.

All sources are saying that Ridley is more than likely to be traded. The Falcons haven’t been the same since Super Bowl LI. They need a new direction. Ridley thinks it’s best if he moves on and the Falcons can get his contract off the books. It would realistically cost you a first round pick for Calvin Ridley. If the Falcons are serious about letting Ridley walk, the Patriots should be one of the first teams calling Atlanta.

Calvin Ridley to the Patriots makes too much sense. A trade for Ridley immediately boosts your offense to a new level. While the Patriots have other needs to worry about, a #1 wide receiver wouldn’t be the worst thing in the world. Make it happen, Bill.
