The C’s Are No Longer the Best In The East

Is it me, or do the Celtics kind of suck lately?  They are 5-5 over their last 10 games, but they should be better than that. You would think that the Celtics biggest problem is not being able to rebound the basketball, but the C’s actually are in the bottom of the league in points per game (20th, 103.5).  The only thing that is keeping the Celtics afloat, is that they are the second best defensive team in the NBA.

Listen, I am not saying that the Celtics are done for this season. All I am saying is that they are not the best team in the East that all the “Green Teamers” though they were. They got off to a hot start and they could go on a big winning streak at any time, but they just lack an inside presence and a consistent second/third scoring option. The Cavaliers are clearly better and the Raptors are looking like a top contender in the East.

You had to have seen this all coming if you are a real Celtics fan. You have a Center in Baynes who really can not do anything on offense. The Celtics front office has to figure out a way to move this dude and bring a more effective center in. Also I have noticed that this year’s team is starting to look a lot like last year’s team. We have a superstar pg who scores a majority of the teams points every game, while the rest of the teams scoring is inconsistent. Hate to say it, but the Celtics desperately need Hayward back in this line up to be a championship winning team.  The other option would be for the Celtics to go after a Center. I have said this a million times, the C’s should give everything they have to for Anthony Davis, because this would push the team to the next level.
