If you have not heard the news already, NBC plans to bring back the award winning show The Office in 2018. The only thing is, Steve Carell will not be staring in the show as the branch manager. The revival would be set at Dunder Mifflin Scranton, PA, branch, and will host a mix of new and old characters. The real question is, who will be the new manager? NBC has not found anyone yet, but they are searching for someone to fill this role. The show has also been off the air since May 16, 2013.

First off, I do not think that this is a good idea for NBC. The Office ended on a good note, and I did not see anything wrong with it. The series also really needed to end. The Jim & Pam story line was over and was getting a little redundant. Michael Scott was no longer in the office, which somewhat ruined the show for me, and we almost knew everything about everyone left in the office. What NBC should do, is find a brand new cast. Put this new cast in an new office experience, and have a different story line.

Lastly, who do you all think should be the new branch manager? Dwight? Jim? Pam, Creed?  I would think NBC would bring in a brand new character for this role, just so they can get people to tune in. Jim Carrey would be a surprisingly make a great general manger. He already had a cameo in the show at end of the seventh season, so why not bring him in as branch manager?
