Start ’em Sit ’em: Week 8

We’re finally at the midway point of the regular season and you should have a pretty good idea of who you should and shouldn’t be starting and what match-ups are the best and worst.  However, just in case you need help deciding who to start and who to sit, I can help out with that this week.

Start ’em

Quarterback

Miami Dolphins v Buffalo Bills

Tyrod Taylor: Taylor looked pretty good last week against Tampa Bay and was moving around a lot on his feet.  He should look to continue that against Oakland at home who has been in the bottom against opposing fantasy QB this season.

Runningback

JayAjayi_3_2016_1

Jay Ajayi: Last week the Ravens were gashed by Latavius Murray and the Vikings and I think the Dolphins will rely heavily on the run game Thursday night with starter Jay Cutler sidelined.  Ajayi should have a good game this week.

Wide Receiver

CARvsTEN 2016 Preseason

Kelvin Benjamin: Benjamin and the Panthers have been hit or miss this year, and you don’t know really what to expect each week.  That being said, I think the Panthers WRs have a good game this week against the second to last ranked Tampa Bay secondary.

Tight End

NFL: Green Bay Packers at Minnesota Vikings

Kyle Rudolph: Rudolph gets the nod for me this week because after the success Minnesota had in the run game, I think they hit the Browns with play action passes early.  You know what that means?  Rudolph gets tons of targets against the 30th ranked defense against opposing fantasy tight ends.

Sit ’em

Quarterback

PhilipRivers1

Philip Rivers: I know what you’re thinking, New England’s defense has been easiest for fantasy QBs to score against this year, but hear me out.  The Patriot’s defense looked REALLY good Sunday night against Atlanta, and I think they keep it going in another game at home against the Chargers offense who hasn’t looked too great this year.

Runningback

Hyde

Carlos Hyde: Hyde put up some mediocre numbers last week against a Dallas team that hasn’t been that good against the run this year.  This week the 9ers get the Eagles defense who HAS been good against the run this year, like really good.  I’m keeping Hyde out of my lineup if I have better options.

Wide Receiver

marvin jones

Marvin Jones: Don’t let Jones’ good week last week fool you, because he has been mediocre at best this year.  Going against the number 1 ranked defense against fantasy WR, Jones is staying on the bench.

Tight End

jack doyle

Jack Doyle: This is tough for me because Doyle is a big part of the Colts offense.  However the Bengals have been surprisingly good at holding opposing fantasy tight ends in check, and I think he is a risky play this week.
