I see a big move coming from Danny Ainge this season, and It could shock the NBA. That is right, the Celtics will get Anthony Davis at some point in 2018. Although Davis is locked up by the Pelicans for the next four seasons, but Ainge has enough to entice the Pelicans with a deal.

Now many of you may not like this, but this deal really relies on the early play of Jayson Tatum. If he can come out playing like a future all star caliber player, then he will be the centerpiece of this deal. Before all of you start crying about losing Tatum, think about what Anthony Davis brings to the table… REBOUNDING.

The Celtics are one of the worst teams at rebound the basketball and they constantly get killed in the paint. Anthony Davis would be that star center that the Celtics have been dreaming about for the past 20 years. Your starting five would be Kyrie Irving, Jaylen Brown, Gordon Hayward, Al Horford, and Anthony Davis. This is a starting five that would 100% take down the Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Finals, and have a realistic shot at taking down the Warriors in the Finals.

However, Jayson Tatum would not be the only player being shipped too the Pelicans. The Celtics would also have to give up Morris, Baynes, and probably two first round picks. Yes that is giving up so much, but think of what the Celtics would be with Anthony Davis in their starting five. Celtics fans want to win now and we can only win now if we get Anthony Davis.
